Cycle in Hell’s Gate National Park

Dramatic landscape of fascinating geological structures, steam geysers, a deep gorge with steep sheer cliffs and rock towers is a wonderful contrast to be included in your safari itinerary. The Hell’s Gate National Park, aptly named after the intense geothermal activity, is home to over 100 bird species, which includes the rare Iammergeier vultures, Verreaux’s eagles, augur buzzards and swifts.

One of the only national parks where you can roam as free as the big game around you, you can be adventurous and enjoy a bicycle ride through the predator-free park without a guide, making this a rare wildlife experience. Common animals in the area are African buffalos, zebras, elands, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelles, the rare Chandler’s mountain reedbuck and klipspringer antelope. Don’t forget about the baboons!
