Freedom Flight with Christo Brand

Set off on a journey with a difference. On this private helicopter flight, you will be accompanied by Christo Brand, ex-warder and close friend of Nelson Mandela. Fly around the infamous Robben Island and witness the stark beauty and isolation of the island, which kept both Mandela and Brand, far from their loved ones. The journey continues on to Hout Bay and then inland towards Steenberg, where you’ll hear of Mandela’s 6 years at Pollsmoor prison. Next is a trip to Drakenstein Correctional Centre, located in the scenic Cape Winelands. From there you will be taken to the picturesque town of Franschhoek and welcomed at the magnificent Mont Rochelle Estate, where you will be invited to taste their delectable wines, followed by a scrumptious lunch.
