Visit a Genocide Museum

Genocide Memorials are located across the country and are a moving testimony in memory of the 1994 Genocide, when extreme elements among the Hutu majority attempted to wipe out the Tutsi minority and moderate Hutus. An estimated one million people were slaughtered in 100 days – which is 15 per cent of the population.

The memorials offer excellent exhibitions that attempt to explain how it was that the world watched as the genocide unfolded.
